QUEEN
OF THE ANGELS
Above the central image is a dove depicting
the Holy Spirit who conceived Jesus in MaryÕs womb and led her throughout her
life. Above the dove is a cross flanked by four diamond shapes which represent
the four cardinal virtues of prudence, justice, fortitude, and temperance. Mary
as the new Eve had and practiced these virtues perfectly. In the outer frame are twenty bright
pastel blue
circles that represent the twenty mysteries of the rosary which
is a contemplative prayer on the
life of Jesus and Mary on earth and their glory now in heaven. Below the central image is an image of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which is a symbol of her, burning charity. The
Immaculate Heart of Mary is flanked by two images that represent the corporal
works of mercy on the left and the spiritual works of mercy on the right. These
works of mercy, which Mary performed perfectly, are the realization of the
beatitudes, which Jesus gave us to live.
