QUEEN OF THE ANGELS

This catholic fine art print is centered on the angels worshiping Our Lord and King Jesus who is upheld in the arms of our lady and queen Mary. Her crown of twelve stars and her royal throne allude to our lady as queen. All her privileges/titles are related to her unique and intimate relationship with her son Jesus who is at the same time her Lord and savior. The almighty Lord and King Jesus is depicted here as a child to remind us that unless we imitate his humility and become as little children we will not enter his kingdom and reign with him. He also is pointing to Mary as our mother and Queen who was most meek and humble of heart in imitation of her son who exhorted us to learn from him who is meek and humble of heart. In this image context Jesus and Mary point to each other as models of humility for us to learn and imitate.

Above the central image is a dove depicting the Holy Spirit who conceived Jesus in Mary’s womb and led her throughout her life. Just inside the Gothic arch are twenty-two angels that represent the angels assigned to serve their Queen. In between the angels are twenty bright pastel blue circles that represent the twenty mysteries of the rosary, which is a contemplative prayer on the life of Jesus and Mary on earth and their glory now in heaven. Below the central image is an image of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, which is a symbol of her, burning charity. The Immaculate Heart of Mary is flanked by two images that represent the corporal works of mercy on the left and the spiritual works of mercy on the right. These works of mercy, which Mary performed perfectly, are the realization of the beatitudes, which Jesus gave us to live.
