In His light we see light(Ps 36:7-9). In this brief sentence the psalmist poetically relates the truth that all light has its origin in eternal light - that is God. Jesus, who is God, the second person of the Holy Trinity, revealed himself as the light of the world, and shared that light with us who believe in him when he said, " you are the light of the world". Those who made the first stained glass windows in the great mideval cathedrals had this in mind and heart. The splendor of Christ's light and that of his saints were incarnated in these first stained glass windows. We could see a glimmer of the heavenly glory of Christ and his saints in the vivid and vibrating colors of these windows. Our purpose in Inner Windows is to continue that tradition and let the light of Christ and that of his saints (including the great saints of the Hebrew scriptures) shine through the divine colors he created for our delight and contemplation. These Innerwindow prints bring to physical light his inner divine and eternal light. These prints capture the vibrant colors of stained glass windows as they would appear in the warm glow of the evening sun.
