Yeshua – Jesus
This Catholic fine art print is centered on the icon of Christ the Pantokrator (he who creates/rules all). This icon, where the divine and majestic beauty of the Lord Jesus is wonderfully portrayed in his human nature, represents the synthesis of the first ecumenical councils and the church fathers, by successfully portraying both the splendor of Jesus' humanity and the brilliance of his divinity. His majestic and serene head is surrounded by a brilliant yellow halo in which is golden cross with three smaller red crosses inside it, represent the three persons of the Holy Trinity who together effected our redemption. At the sides of his head are two Greek diliterals JS - CT (in the Greek alphabet}, which represents his holy name Jesus - Christ. Just below these letter are the Greek letters alpha and omega, Which Jesus used to describe himself as the beginning and end of all things. His right hand, with the thumb and ring finger touching each other (to signify the two natures of Christ in the unity of his person) is portrayed as giving a typical gesture of blessing. His left hand holds the book of the Gospels, which are the heart of all scripture because they are the principle witness to the life and teaching of Jesus. Surrounding the icon of Jesus is a ribbon like circle of fire that represent the anointing of Christ's human nature by the Father through the Holy Spirit.
Directly above the Pantokrator icon is an image of God the almighty and eternal Father, who is revealed by the Son. On top of the image of the Father are seven fiery shapes the represents the seven Spirits (angels) that surround the throne of God in the book of Revelation. On the border of the window are twenty star-like shapes that represent the angels of God. Below the Image of God the Son is the image of God the Holy Spirit surrounded by twelve flames which represents the new Israel - the Church, which He sanctifies and unifies with divine love and truth and which as St. Paul says is the pillar and foundation of Truth (1 Timothy: 15). To the left of the Holy Spirit is an image of the menorah which is a symbol of the Israel of the old covenant and on the left is an image of the glorious cross of Christ which represent the sacrificial love of the messiah Jesus, who brings forth God's promise to Abraham of blessing and salvation to all nations through the mediation of the Church- the new Israel. The composition of this stained glass print portrays the oneness of the Trinity as well the distinction of Persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
